Yearn Finance Introduces Woofy NFTs on Galxe
To commemorate Woofy’s makeover, reward $WOOFY hodlers, and encourage the use of as many puns as possible, Yearn Finance has created a set of 6 exclusive NFTs. Snapshots have been taken to honor long term hodlers appropriately, and new snapshots will be taken at different times over the next four weeks so everyone can live that Pug Life. Woofy’s Journey
Woofy was born as a response to the phenomenons that are dog tokens (a lot of people love dog tokens) and unit bias (a lot of people love to buy tokens with massive supplies and low per token (unit) price). Using Woof technology, YFI can be converted for WOOFY at a rate of 1:1,000,000. Want a dog token with a super low price? Boom. And it’s linked to a DeFi darling.
The response to the Woofy launch was basically pawfect. People shared pics with their dogs. Unicorns scratched their heads. Woof technology was used by many. Woofy ventured across bridges to other chains and continues to thrive.
Since launch, the “face of Woofy” has been a cool and familiar looking blue dog with pointy ears, yellow eyes, and a white nose. There’s a reason that cool blue dog looks so familiar — an artist named George Rodrigue painted him in hundreds of paintings over his career. Rodrigue said the blue dog was about constant curiosity and searching for answers, and he dedicated much of his life to education and expanding access to the arts. Out of respect to the artist’s estate we are parting ways with this amazing blue dog and giving Woofy a makeover.
With awesome doggo designs from @tee_eggs and NFT wizardry from Project Galaxy, we gave Woofy a makeover and came up with a limited series of Woofy NFTs which launch today. Initial multi-chain snapshots have been taken to reward OG Woofy hodlers, and future snapshots will be taken so everyone can give a loving home to their very own Woofy.
